Last week I finally got to visit Pittsburgh. It turned out to be a very eye opening, enlightening experience for me. I was impressed by every corner of this city.
I took the train.... which I always enjoy fully. I look out the window I take pictures and feel instantly transported back to the 1920's.
I walked (AND I MEAN WALKED! A LOT) through streets full of old and intricate architecture and bridges of steel. In the middle of winter with freezing winds I did not seem to feel.
I went to Church ...
Marveled at the intricate craftsmanship of some of these old buildings and had a conversation about how you could tell people had a sense of pride and love and dedication in their work. Can you imagine? Having to do all that work by hand. How many hours, how many days and yet even in the poorest of houses you look up at the ceiling and see some beautiful form of art ..be it around the lamps or in the corners or all throughout. Why did people stop doing this?
Saw some unique street art
.....and realized that there are still some very beautiful people out there....
Above all I laughed a LOT and smiled a LOT...and fell in LOVE....with Pittsburgh ;)
XOXO,
