Catching Up part 2 - Muzzy's Garden

My stepmother was an avid gardener and I wanted to share some of my favorite images I took of her garden while on my visit there in August. The reasons I went up to Pennsylvania , back home, where by far the most pleasant of situations but I must say it was a truly inspiring trip. I think the time away and the solitude in nature was truly soul nurturing. I was able to think and set my priorities straight. This garden has always been a true source of inspiration in my life. I have seen it from conception to it's final grand product thru the years. She was truly blessed and will be missed.

A haven for butterflies of all colors.

There where rows and rows of black eyed susans in bloom :)

I must have sat by these flowers every day. Most days they where covered by plump bumble bees. My favorite!

The guardians.

During my stay I got to eat plenty of homegrown vegetables. These sun kissed tomatoes where particularly yummy!

Catching Up part 1

The past few months have found me catching up on my life and my new ventures. I feel sometimes I can hardly catch a breath. We lost a very close, very dear family member in a tragic automobile accident. It has taken me sometime to heal but being busy creating and designing helps a lot.

This past July I got the opportunity to be part of the Indie Craft Bazaar (Peace,Love and Craftyness). Which was an experience in itself. I have to say I felt very welcomed. The other artists where very nice and their work was very inspiring. I am grateful that there is a growing community of indie artists and crafters and that we have found each other!

The flyer was designed by Rachel Loves Peace . I got to meet her at the Bazaar. Her work is very happy and colorful. And she has an air like she has the secret to happiness. Beautiful free spirit. My kinda of girl! Check out her blog as well it's called Rachel is a Dreamer

As soon as the doors opened it was a non stop flow of traffic. This was to my left.

To my right.

This Sunday (October 17th) they are having another edition called Dawn of the Thread. Loooove the name and I am looking forward to being part of it again.

Display at Dekka

I just wanted to share my very first display at Dekka. It is a work in progress and I am constantly switching stuff around. I'm comfortable with the final look for July. In August I will probably change it.

Final Display

Come by for the music, for the art, for the fashion, for the healthy snacks at the Cafe or for the jewelry. But please come by and support the scene. Dekka is constantly looking for new artists in all mediums and are involved in the revitalization of the Fashion Row Arts District in Hallandale.

Hello.

I realize I have been away for quite some time. Rest assured I was thinking about all of you , yes you, the ones that live in this screen. Life just got a little hectic there for a moment and I needed a breather. I guess I have a lot to share and I guess we can start with the new and work our way in different posts to where I am at present.

In May I was contacted by Joshua Tiktin. He and his wife Luciana own Dekka a fashion and arts collective located in DC. They where opening a 2nd location in Hallandale , FL and wanted me to be part of it. We met and I signed contract after seeing the location and what it had to offer in terms of getting my name and my designs out there. I must say I became fast friends with them, Luciana and I have a lot in common and hit it off right away. They have great ideas for reviving the Fashion Row and turn it into a more arts and fashion community. At the boutique you can find many works from different artists , great music , ample parking space, and a place to show off your work no matter what you do. They will also have a crafts market and there is talk of some other events as well. I will keep you updated as this goes along.

139 NE 1st Avenue,
Hallandale, FL 33009.
They are open M-F from 9-5.
